OUR FLAGSHIP PROGRAMME: THE REPAIR BOOTCAMP
The Cracked It team deliver an innovative programme which helps young people develop their self-worth and confidence and gain some great skills that can progress them towards employment.
Commissioner, Islington Council
The Cracked It Phone Repair Bootcamp is a fast-paced 5-day course in iPhone repair and enterprise.
Our Bootcamp is designed for groups of 16-24 year olds who are: not in education or employment; at risk of offending; or ex-offenders.
Our programmes support young people towards employment by:
Combating attitudinal barriers to work: we support youth to (re)engage with the formal economy by demonstrating that work can be a credible outlet for their aspirations and needs.
Combating skills-based barriers to work: we support youth to become work-ready by developing employability their skills in a real-world context.
how our repair bootcamps work
Young people receive iPhone repair tuition from our experienced technicians.
Young people develop core employability skills through our enterprise workshops and team challenges.
Young people use their skills to run their own phone repair stall in Central London on the final day, keeping all the profit they make.
Young people receive their own tools and access to our helpline, to continue repair beyond our Bootcamp.
Young people are signposted to further employment and training opportunities. We provide a job reference too.
